During a visit to Lake Kawaguchiko in Japan, Jonathan proposed to Luxmi beside a bronze statue created by renowned sculptor Seibo Kitamura. One of Kitamura’s final masterpieces, the sculpture was inspired by the beauty of the lake and surrounding mountains that deeply moved him even at the age of 101. The vase at its center represents Lake Kawaguchiko as a source of life, while two dancing figures symbolize the balance of positive and negative forces whose union flows back into that source, representing the endless renewal of life.
